- 2007 Medicare
Rates
- On January 1, 2007, the Medicare payment for APC 385 (Level I
Prosthetic urology procedures) was changed to $4,869. This
is an increase of $481 over 2006 payment rates.
- On January 1, 2007, the Medicare payment for APC 386 (Level II
Prosthetic urology) was changed to $8,445. This is an increase
of $891 over 2006 payment rates.
- New 2007 IPP Benefit Coverage for Federal Employees
- As a result of CAPU advocacy efforts, on January 1, 2007, Blue
Cross Blue Shield began to provide benefits for surgically implanted
penile prosthesis to treat erectile dysfunction regardless of its
physiological cause, for its Federal Employee Health Benefit (FEHB)
members.
